This 1978 Bedford TK570 is a genuine classic British workhorse featuring a practical nine-seat triple cab, dropside cargo body and straightforward mechanical diesel engine. Built for durability and ease of maintenance, it is particularly suitable for export markets where older, mechanically simple commercial vehicles remain highly valued.
The truck is powered by a 3,610 cc Bedford four-cylinder diesel engine with a traditional manual fuel-injection pump. It is fitted with a four-speed manual gearbox, leaf-spring suspension and twin rear wheels.
The vehicle starts, runs and is in good working condition. It has good tyres all round. As expected from a working truck of this age, the cab has visible exterior corrosion and rust points and would benefit from cosmetic restoration. The condition is clearly reflected in the photographs.

The naturally aspirated 3.6-litre Bedford diesel engine uses a traditional mechanical injection system, without modern electronic engine management or complicated emissions equipment. This simple design makes the truck relatively straightforward to maintain and repair using conventional workshop equipment.
Combined with its four-speed manual gearbox, leaf-spring suspension and robust chassis, the TK570 represents the durable, uncomplicated engineering for which classic Bedford trucks are known.
Dropside Cargo Body
The fitted dropside body permits convenient loading and unloading from the sides and rear. It is suitable for transporting tools, construction materials, agricultural products, machinery, equipment and general cargo.

The Bedford starts, runs and is in good working condition, with good tyres fitted all round. The chassis, leaf springs and twin rear-wheel arrangement are shown in the photographs.
Please note that this is a working commercial vehicle dating from 1978. The cab has visible exterior corrosion and rust points, together with age-related cosmetic wear. Buyers should assess the photographs carefully and may arrange an inspection before purchase.
